Stock Fulfillment
'Stock fulfillment' is a business model designed for smaller manufacturers who require a centralised distribution hub and a cost effective way of getting their products to the market.
The main difference between a more conventional distributor and a stock fulfillment distributor such as SSC Stockholding is that we don't purchase the stock; it still remains the property of the manufacturer until we sell it to the dealer. This has a significant benefit for the manufacturer; it cuts out the distributor margin and the manufacturer only pays for the direct costs associated with the business options used. For example, some manufacturers may ask us only to provide warehousing and a delivery service; others may require a more comprehensive package including sales and administration.
To accommodate the widest range of requirements, we offer the following stockholding and distribution options:
Package 1 · Package 2 · Package 3 · Package 4
In return for these services, SSC Distribution is paid a commission by the manufacturer, based on the service level provided.
Furthermore, with the Synthesiser Service Centre located in the same building, we can also act as a centralised service and parts centre for the manufacturer, offering warranty and non warranty repairs plus full product upgrade, modification and recall services if required.
